Since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a part of the arts and crafts world. It made me happy. Really happy. Like most kids, you grow up with the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" My answer was always, "a cartoonist!" Unfortunately, I lost my passion for the arts around the age of 12. I was told I was never good enough; being compared to other children artists who had the privilege to attend art schools and develop their art skills.
During my high school years, I met an amazing art teacher. He believed in me. He encouraged me to pursue my education in the arts. I tried- but was declined. I wasn't accepted in the art school I had hoped to attend, so I shifted my skills towards another industry. Fashion. Although several years later I decided to continue my education in Communication Studies, I didn't want to lose my art skills.
That is why, in the past 2 years, I decided to listen to what my old art teacher told me. And my heart. Pursue ART! I started my own business where I can always use my creativity. I am the registered business owner of "Paint My Life"; a business that allows clients to purchase unique, commissioned paintings that capture their passion and personality. Alongside canvas art, clients have the opportunity to purchase personalized and hand painted gift bags and gift tags for birthdays, holidays, and special events. It is via creative expression and close attention to detail that I fulfill my customers’ wants and desires. I aim to make a special day all the more personal, sentimental and beautiful.
I am now happy. I have found my love for arts and crafts again.
